About Me

Shane-Flottmann-midMy name is Shane Flottmann and I am a freelance artist and designer that has backgrounds in both fine art and graphic design. I currently work full-time as the lead designer for a company that produces various types of promotional products that go out to distributors world wide. This is a great benefit to me since I am often able to oversee the production of many of the projects I produce for print.

My History

2015 – MOCAP

Art Director – In March of 2015 I began a new position as the Art Director at MOCAP. I am responsible for the overseeing, creation and implementation of new art and design for all of our locations world wide. We have offices in the US, the UK and China with sales in France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Turkey, and Canada. Catalog design, ad and collateral design and production art are part of my day-to-day duties as well as various other needs for trade show booth design and other projects. I have implemented strategies to use 3D modeled elements for implementation in design and video concepts and plan to branch out into interactive web elements in the future for product display purposes.

2013 – MOCAP/Anchorline

Lead Designer – In July of 2013, I left Chaumette Vineyards for an exciting opportunity to be the lead designer at MOCAP/Anchorline. I oversee the day-to-day operations of the art department for the production of art to be used on various promotional products as well as setting up at for screen print on products we distribute for industrial and commercial purposes.

2010 – Chaumette Vineyards

Wine Club Manager/Director of IT – In 2010 I left the kitchen at Chaumette to oversee various departments for Chaumette while continuing to satisfy their graphic design and web design needs as a freelance artist.

2008 – Freelance Designer

In 2008, I began working with my first freelance client, Chaumette Vineyards and Winery in Ste. Genevieve, MO. My first project for Chaumette Vineyards was a dvd authoring project in which I composed a series of slide shows to be displayed on their monitors on location. this project consisted of creating the slide shows, creating the interactive dvd menus and authoring the final project so that it would display on HD televisions and monitors via pc or dvd player.

1999 – Commercial Artist

In 1999 I left my apprenticeship and began working on my own, painting signage, wall murals, portraits and various other type of commercial and fine art. Since that time, I have created over 200 pieces of art to be used for business and personal enjoyment.
